Parisian artist Suzy Lelièvre creates fascinating works that surprise and enthrall. Are they functional objects? Are they sculptures, intended for gallery display? Contorting tables – tied into knots, chairs that explode with a fanfare and “gravity dice”; Lelièvre, who studied Fine Arts in Nîmes and then Lyon, concocts fabulously illogical objects from seemingly logical concepts. Unexpected, perceptive and witty – they’re works you could admire all day…
