Surely the cutest new product we discovered at this year’s Stockholm Design Week was young Turkish designer Beril Cicek‘s charming ‘ULL’ – mobile cabinets crafted from wood and wool. Inspired by a trip to Iceland, Cicek’s chunky knit cabinet-cum-luggage pieces are inspired by the famed ullarpeysa sweater (their take on the back-in-vogue fair isle), and traditional sheep-skin shoes with knitted inserts: saudskinnskors.
Easily collapsable, quick to re-dress and portable between spaces; ULL is as unique a concept as it is beautiful, and with the young Turk’s deft touch with delicate colours – and quirky touches (just look at those big wooden buttons) – we’re sure her curious creations are destined to be a big hit…
