It’s been squished and squashed into nooks and crannies around the world, from Barcelona to Perth, Chicago to Taipei – and even finding its way onto Zaha Hadid’s majestic new Sheikh Zayed Bridge in Abu Dhabi along the way. Now – having previously made a brief visit to Norwich – New York artist Kurt Perschke brings his splendidly cheery RedBall art project for an extended visit to the UK this summer.
Although it appears Perschke has yet to discover the M6 – confirmed dates, starting in early June, are for Torbay, Plymouth, Exeter, Weymouth and London’s South Bank – we’re looking forward to just which famous landmarks his gigantic bouncy ball finds itself in; how fabulous would it looked nestled amongst the Brutalist concrete of some of the South Bank’s iconic buildings?
