There are very few brands around with such history and heritage in design and visual aesthetic than Herman Miller. With more than a century in the game, the furniture manufacturer – who have released products from iconic designers through the years (from Charles and Ray Eames to Yves Béhar) – have long had a strong presence in visual communication too; vintage marketing posters from the likes of Don Ervin and Armin Hoffman hang in design galleries around the world.
Alongside a curated selection of archive posters from their history – courtesy of Steve Frykholm, the brands creative director of 42 years – Then x Ten, a major new exhibition at Melbourne’s evocative fortyfivedownstairs gallery, the likes of Craig & Karl, Jonathan Zawada and Emily Forgot provide modern updates.
Then x Ten opens today, and runs ’til 25th August.
