Launching this Friday (12th October) in Manchester, and running ’til 25 October in London; Kopparberg ün-establishment is a series of creative workshops, exhibitions, screenings and talks across two weeks, and two cities. From Polaroid revivalists The Impossible Project to artist Hattie Stewart, online electronic music magazine Resident Advisor to celebrated designer Margot Bowman – the series of free events are set to be a hotbed of conformity defying, creative shenanigans and, guess what? We’re joining in too.
We’re delighted to announce that, having been invited to host an afternoon session in London on 25th October, we’ll be presenting the first ‘offline’ version of our Create GB project. Having sought to uncover some of Britain’s most exciting creatives during this very British of summers, the pages of We Heart were awash with artists, designers, makers and much more besides – and, as we prepare to release a beautiful 200+ page publication in November (register at www.creategb.com for updates on pre-order specials), we’re bringing Create GB to life for the first time.
From 14:00 – 17:00 at 3-10 Shoreditch High Street London, on 25th October, we’ll be presenting five up-and-coming British creative talents, who will introduce you to their work in an exhibition/workshop environment. Rosa Middleton will be dissecting one of her intricately detailed multi-narrative illustrations, Son’ Emirali inviting you to share his obsession with a 90 year-old corner shop called Fosters and recent graduate Simon Cheadle will also be talking about his work process; whilst fashion designers Ashleigh Downer and Lisa Watson will be presenting their highly original work.
We’ll fill you in on more details soon, but until then; head over to the event’s Facebook page and register to attend. We’re looking forward to seeing you there.
