There’s been somewhat of a buzz about this mysterious character brewing for some time – the sneak-peek of its slick logo, the cryptic words of who he is, what he likes… but, this week; the one they simply know as Lowdi, was finally unveiled to his baying public. And with an eye-blistering bang at that.
Essentially just a portable speaker, this hasn’t stopped the creative team(s) behind WeTransfer, Kuvva and Nalden’s personal blog (yes, the plucky entrepreneur is very much a part of this little project) creating an almighty visual buzz – roping in French studio CRCR to devise a multi-sense-abusing promo video to ramp its hype up to yet another level. These are boys who know a thing or two about promotion, and mightily impressive it is.
Über-promotion aside, Lowdi looks to be as neat a product as its founders at Present Plus and Momkai have made it out to be – promising wireless connectivity, 8 hours re-chargeable battery life and powerful sound for its diminutive size; the good folk behind this little wonder are so balls-out confident, that they’re offering a free 30-day trial period, and a one-year warranty… all for 99 Euros.
This bolshy collective of designers and makers are as bold in their business acumen as they are their promotional activites- and, for that, we salute them. Good luck Lowdi… not that you’ll need it!
