If you like it, take it home with you. That guests can buy the artwork used to decorate this collection of boutique rooms is just one of the neat touches offered by MySuites, accommodation dotted around the West Village, Chelsea and Meat Packing Districts of New York. As long as you like white, these suites are heavenly.
Of course, being boutique, the rooms are individually decorated, but the theme is definitely pale and interesting throughout most of the ten venues. While the overarching feel is contemporary, many of the suites enjoy a lovely retro feel; monochrome photographs of music icons adorn the walls of one place, the black of the pictures complemented by the occasional cushion or seat cover, and there’s a great old turntable which won’t stay unsold for long if we’re any judge.
Pieces of nude wood and pale brickwork serve to lend a modest amount of colour, but these places are all about pristine white – furniture, furnishings, even the floors. All we can say is thank goodness the suites are fully serviced, and we can leave it to someone else to clean once we leave…
