If you’re looking for somewhere to put a bit of a spring in your step in the Sentosa Cove area (a swanky residential neighbourhood on Sentosa Island) of Singapore, may we suggest the energetic surrounds of Kith Café? Bright and breezy, their latest outlet – one of three in a chain that has sprouted up in the city-state since its first opened up in Robertson Quay, 2009 – is full of colourful splashes chucked onto onto a sophisticated canvas of metal and marble.
Swathes of light wood and gun metal grey racks and frames give the coffee shop a very utilitarian feel, but the addition of that extra colour through chair backs, stool ratchets and cushions break up the functional and put a friendly face on Kith. Owner Jane Hia cites her business philosophy as “simplicity, sincerity and honesty”, a credo that is well-reflected in the interior of her venues. There’s a nice line in food on offer at the three branches – the other two can be found at Robertson Quay and Penang Road.
