I can think of a couple of cycling nerds who are going to need to change their underwear after hearing about this exhibition of all things racer-related, and the good news for me is it’s free, so I won’t have to spend any time wangling tickets out of the nice folks at Kemistry Gallery, London (their admission always as such, which is jolly good of them).
Cycling has never been more popular, but it doesn’t matter if you can’t tell a Shimano chainset from a Campagnolo (you noobs you). The Grand Boucle exhibition is a great opportunity for newcomers to the sport and veterans alike to trace the evolution of road cycling through the exhibits – dating back to 1903 – gathered together by graphic designer Christoph Reichert and printer Dolly Demoratti. Also available at the event, from 9th May – 1st June at the Charlotte Street gallery, will be a Grand Boucle magazine and a collection of silk-screen prints. A terribly early Christmas present opportunity if ever we saw one…
