Not ones for half measures, Berlin design studio New Tendency has given it the bifters in setting up a pop-up shop in the city centre. It’s a chance for the interdisciplinary agency to give their super swish, colourful yet minimalist furniture and accessories some face time with the public (and flog some too, hopefully) but this is a pop-up with some snap and crackle to go with it.
If you want to big up a side table, here’s how you do so. New Tendency has commissioned a video shot by fashion photographer Jonas Lindström, featuring a ballet dancer exploring the possibilities of the Meta table, seen here in our final picture, in a more expressive ways than words could hope to. Alongside the furniture is a new range of jewellery, launched at the shop with the help of photographers Haw-lin, and an interactive photography installation by EyeEm. The pop-up is sticking around at Almstadtstraße 48, Berlin-Mitte, until 12th July. Talk about going the extra mile…
