What better way to show off your range of designer homewares and fashion accessories than in a home? Located on the third floor of a residential street in East Berlin, BLESS Home Berlin kicks the traditional showroom to the kerb and instead offers visitors an “enhanced living experience” – a functional apartment where you can pop in for a sit down and a cup of tea, have a rummage through the cupboards, or even catch 40 winks in a hammock. You do have to negotiate three flights of stairs, but it already sounds more appealing than a Sunday morning visit to IKEA.
BLESS Home Berlin is the brand’s second presence in the city, replacing the first which opened in 2003, but the idea of displaying products in their native environment is a marked conceptual departure. It evolved from a BLESS collector’s home; as the collection grew, it became clear that a home packed with their products would be the ideal display environment. You can make an appointment to visit, or drop in to the flat at Oderbergerstrasse 60 on Thursday and Friday afternoons for open house viewing.
