Issue six of Pigeons & Peacocks hit the news stands this week with a new editorial team in place, and doesn’t it look lovely? It does indeed – congratulatory double-air kisses and manly handshakes where appropriate to the London College of Fashion alumni who put this quality publication together. Former graduates and current students of the institution are the central focus of the mag, which is a deep well of talent from which to draw. To mark the launch, P&P commissioned a short film, It Melts, by award-winning director and LCF media student Gsus Lopez, but be warned, it may put you off ice-cream for a while.
Inside the cover is work by the best and brightest of fashion, photography, styling and illustration among other fields – Carolina Mizrahi’s profoundly perverse MILLY shoot finely demonstrating the publication’s adept ability to flitter between art and fashion. The new names in the big chairs are Fashion Editor Ella Sullivan, Features Editor Darcy Rive and Print and Online Editor Anastasia Miari. P-p-pick up a P&P at WH Smith and indie news stands for less than a fiver.
