The neighbourhood has changed a bit since the 19th Century when this fine Arts and Crafts building in Mayfair was built as a workshop for a firm producing leather breeches. Now lovingly restored, 34 North Row (just around the corner from Selfridges) is home to The New Craftsmen, a showcase for the craft skills, processes and traditions of British makers. Throughout the 2,000 sqft ground floor space you’ll find a carefully curated selection of objects from more than 75 of the home nations’ finest artisans working in textiles, silverware, furniture, ceramics, jewellery, glassware and more. A new collaborative commissioning service for bespoke work launched in October 2014.
