The beach is back. Returning for a fourth summer, Camden’s Roundhouse is once again the spot for an unlikely London attraction. I can’t imagine Pete Doherty and his pals turning up, nor the crusties from the local head shops, but NW1 residents who want to feel the sand between their toes on the Great British summer’s warmer days can once again pitch up for a day on Camden Beach.
Presented in collaboration with Stolichnaya Premium Vodka, the tipple will be bringing along its Stoli Lemonade Van and — ensuring British seaside vibes — Fishy Business returns with a new menu of chippy classics. And it’s not just sunning and gorging yourself; parting with your British pounds goes towards supporting the local creative community:
“Following last year’s incredible success which saw 50,000 visitors enjoy our ‘seaside’ spot, we’re looking forward to welcoming London back to our urban paradise. Profits from the Beach help us to enable 3,000 11-25s to realise their creative potential each year”, explains Roundhouse’s James Heaton. The fun ends 23 August — anyone know how to make a hankie bonnet?
