When industrial designer Raymond Loewy spoke, people listened, and YMC (You Must Create) takes its name from the revered Frenchman’s reply to a question on the future of design.

Fraser Moss and Jimmy Collins started their clothing company in 1995, and the Hanbury Street boutique (off Brick Lane) carries YMC menswear and womenswear collections that avoid being too trend-focused. The store makes great use of some vintage industrial curiosities including a tiled mortuary table, re-purposed display trolleys, pressure gauges and an old station clock.
