Newly opened Parisian accommodation Hotel Adèle & Jules exhibits all the charm and warmth of a private home, and resides in an up-and-coming area of Paris’s Right Bank; on the edge of Cité Rougemont. With just 60 sprightly rooms (some with Parisian-style balcony), you’ll be treated to a subtle blend of classic elements, plush bathrobes, and Fragonard toiletries.
Run by owner Nicolas de Lattre and his family, attention to detail is key at the homely offering. Interior designer Stéphane Poux — known for his creative Paris apartment projects — disregarded coordinated features, opting instead for exotic ikats and traditional twills; graphic motifs; contemporary furniture; and hand-picked fabrics, which stamped an air of the eclectic.
The public areas with soft lighting, velvet seating, and art and photography, are discreet, moody, and welcoming all at once — the ideal spot to sit down for a breakfast or high tea away from the intensity of the city. Once refuelled, you may stroll through the covered passages and check out the cosmopolitan surrounds referred to locally as: a hub for new French ‘bistronomy’. Cordial, genteel, a fancy little diversion from contemporary trends.
