With clients like New York Times and Nike in their little black book, Stockholm-based graphic design and art direction studio Museum Studio recently conceived Solid; a contrary object made in collaboration with furniture designer Kristoffer Sundin.
Solid isn’t sure whether it is a stool, side table, or plinth, but what it does know is that it’s nicely crafted from solid pine, available in four different shapes, and hand-painted in four different colourways. And that it looks very lovely, too. Dimensions are W:26cm H:45cm D:26cm for the hardy, earthy piece — which can be used as a place to strew fancy indie mags or art books produced by Museum Studio’s spin off outfit, Museum Paper; sit surprise guests at a gathering; or elevate any other handsome objects you have lying around.
Kristoffer Sundin and Museum Studio’s Solid can be purchased online from A-B-C-shop.
