A new floating restaurant and bar for London, Darcie & May Green features an exterior designed by the one-and-only Sir Peter Blake, and an all-day menu bursting with fresh and distinctive Antipodean-informed cuisine.
Located on the Grand Union Canal, at Paddington Central, the two city barges share a combined 50 metre upper deck — the perfect spot to revel in canal-side dining washed down with coffee, craft beers and cocktails; whilst the eye-catching design exhibits the legendary British pop artist’s distinctive style and signature bold colour palette, making Darcie & May Green feel as much a floating piece of art as it is dining destination.
The eighth London venue by the Daisy Green Collection, fare and ethos here reflect founder Prue Freeman’s Australian attitude to food, and diners are welcome to spend a few lazy hours lingering over vegan coconut French toast, banana bread sandwiches, or smashed avo on charcoal sourdough throughout brunch. Devouring larger dishes like Szechuan soft shell crab, sticky beef short ribs, and halloumi fries, later in the day. A Bottomless Brunch that seamlessly switches into Bottomless Afternoon Tea reflects the coming together of Antipodean influence and Blake’s notably British brand of pop art.
