As the A’ Design Award & Competition continues to grow, some 1,962 winners from 100 countries across a total of 99 different design disciplines were recognised at a spectacular ceremony on the banks of Italy’s Lake Como earlier this year—it’s clear to see how those working behind the scenes of the world’s largest international design awards are dedicated to awarding the very best and most innovative designers and projects, judging varied talent from around the world.
Aiming to “advance society by pushing the frontiers of science, design, creativity, and technology forward by creating incentives for innovators to come up with better ideas”, creatives are encouraged to take part in the accolades that will see you receive worldwide recognition (including extensive PR opportunities and your designs exhibited in Italy at the temporary MOOD Museum of Design) should you get the stamp of approval from an esteemed panel of judges made up of 211 leading designers, prominent academics, and influential members of the press.
Winners from the 2017—2018 period, alongside previous years, can be found via designmag.org‘s gallery (whilst profiles of winners can be found at design-interviews.com), however—as champions ourselves of cutting-edge design and those breaking new ground ourselves—we’ve highlighted 20 of our top picks from over the years here.
Registration to A’ Design Award & Competition 2018—2019 period is now open, so submit your works for a chance to win acclaim and international recognition.
