With its waterfront location and views of Maastricht centre and Sint Servaas bridge, NOON is a restaurant attracting the city’s creative crowd; those looking for an alternative place to hang out.
Serving a variety of sharing plates, cocktails, wines and beers, NOON is great for afterwork tipples starting slowly and lingering until the early hours. Those who want to continue the party can do so next door at Complex, a club renowned for hosting international club nights. Once serving as the club’s ‘second area’, the space has retained the youthful essence, adding a drop of glamour, though, it’s now an atmospheric restaurant and bar set to attract more than a second-room-crowd.
Creative agency, Reiters, conceived the interior and identity design, visual concept, styling and communication for the restaurant; creating a space that is characterised by a soft yellow marl wall, lighting and large windows that provide a stunning ambience and evocative views of the city come sunset.
The name NOON is emblazoned across the façade and behind the bar, in the case of the latter, drawing attention to a shelf in front of an exposed brick wall that is packed with spirits. A herringbone floor, wooden tables and lashings of greenery soften the space; as does the huge mural by artist Sandy van Helden which covers one wall, helping to bring together the colour palette, interiors and materials, and vigorous spirit.
A hangout born out of love for underground dance, cold beers and happy food, NOON is sure to be one for the hit-list when travelling to this part of The Netherlands.
