Set over two floors, Mickeys Beach Bar on the ground floor and the restaurant upstairs, interior architecture studio Design Command have created an oasis of calm inspired by the beach bars of Ibiza and Greece. A relaxed coastal space for drinking and dining, Mickeys evokes an overall sense of escapism. With ample outdoor seating and a retractable glass terrace, guests can feel at one with the outdoors. Environmentally low-impact products have been used throughout from the tiles made from 98% recycled material to reclaimed timber cladding. Inline with Mickeys commitment to help the planet, packaging is biodegradable wherever possible. Furthermore, local products are used to help local businesses and reduce carbon emissions.
Whether popping in for a bite in the bar downstairs or a more formal affair upstairs, at Mickey’s, diners can feast on local fish from the docks, meats cooked on the charcoal grill, pizza cooked in a state-of-the-art revolving pizza oven, spit-roasted chicken fresh off the rôtisserie, salads, burgers, ribs, local beer battered fish & chips, and much more.
Downstairs is a more casual affair with a tonal blue and white colour palette, bamboo ceilings and soft seating. Walk the sand-coloured metal staircase to the restaurant upstairs and interiors are brighter while the ambience remains still very such the same. The design intertwines with the sweeping views across the bay. Here, outdoor paving, a mix of interior and exterior furniture, a retractable roof and nautical materials, bring the beach inside allowing diners to enjoy an al-fresco experience come rain, shine or hail.
