Designed to redefine modern lifestyle, We Are Emma is an innovative beauty salon where contemporary aesthetics collide with functionality to create a congenial and uplifting environment.
Located in Milan‘s elegant Brera neighbourhood, the salon has been designed by the brilliant Valencia-based studio, Masquespacio, and features vibrant hues and whimsical forms which were chosen for their playful qualities. This jovial ambience isn’t at the expense of sophistication, however, the designers opting for materials including tainted natural wood, marble, and stainless steel to add a refined touch to the space. The combination strikes a perfect balance that is visually appealing and representative of We Are Emma’s brand identity.
Stepping into the salon you enter a larger area where a host can explain a range of the services on offer. A large range of styling products can also be perused and bought. The design in this space is characterised by organic shapes complemented by an eye-catching pink colour palette, while an arch-shaped opening draws your attention to the hairstyling area. Upon entering this zone you’ll notice a bar, this is where the staff will prepare a gin and tonic for you to sip whilst you’re receiving your transformation. Fancy, hey? A place for passers-by as much as customers, this bar welcomes anyone in the neighbourhood to drop by for a tipple, making We Are Emma not just a destination for haircare, but a social hub as well.
A series of hairstyling pods are located just off the bar, open capsules designed with the perfect balance of privacy and openness. Each pod features an ultra-comfortable seating arrangement and an elegant fusion of marble and gold materials. Not only are they visually striking, they provide customers with a place to switch off and disconnect during their service.
The wash station area completes the design, a space separated from the other area with a layout that embodies the concept of tranquility and relaxation through the use of soft, ambient lighting. With comfortable recliners, once again, customers are treated to luxury and calm during another process in the service.
More than a hairstyling session, an appointment at We Are Emma is a truly immersive experience, and one that not only makes you look better, but one that ensures you leave feeling better too.
