Having opened in 2023, Pollini at Ladbroke Hall marks chef Emanuele Pollini’s first foray into the London culinary scene, the Italian eatery already garnering quite the reputation around Notting Hill and beyond.
Interiors are very befitting of the West London location, with a black bar made of fibreglass and black hand-treated granite serving as a centrepiece, and bar shelves carved from antique glass; Italian architects and designers, Vincenzo De Cotiis Architects, having created a dramatic backdrop to complaint Pollini’s food.
Situated within arts and social club Ladbroke Hall — in a 1903-built building once home to car showroom and assembly plant, the Clément-Talbot factory — the Beaux Arts building evokes all the grandeur of an expansive Edwardian country house. Pollini at Ladbroke Hall offers 65 covers, with cuisine influenced by Emanuele’s childhood and his formative years spent in his grandmothers’ kitchens on both the Adriatic Coast and the Alps.
Dining in one of London’s most unique dining rooms, guests can enjoy an evolving, seasonal menu which includes both new and signature dishes paying homage to his heritage. Think Stuzzichini of Mortadella e Tartufo Nero with black truffle; Prosciutto Di San Daniele Nebrodok; Ravioli della Graziella; Fritto Misto di Mare; Tortelloni de Bufala e Spinaci and Spaghetti in Crema di Pesto e Gamberi, and many more Italian-inspired plates to boot.
In addition to the striking interiors from Vincenzo De Cotiis Architects, the restaurant also features large-scale artwork commissions by British painter Sir Christopher Le Brun PPRA, and a central large-scale monochrome chandelier by Spanish artist and designer Nacho Carbonell.
With the anticipated opening in May of the Pollini garden, a 100 square foot dining and drinking alfresco terrace, the buzz around Pollini at Ladbroke Hall is set to continue in abundance. A regal restaurant that rejoices in both aesthetic and culinary splendour, Emanuele Pollini’s London debut is one to seriously watch.
