Serving a selection of vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free individual-sized sweet treats out of stores in Amsterdam and The Hague, customers of Petite Sam should find plenty to brighten up their day and satisfy that sweet tooth; regardless of food allergies or intolerances.
Located at Prins Hendrikstraat 106, The Hague, the newest of the two outposts opened in 2023, the 100 square metre bakery and coffee shop designed by Studio Ninetynine, who were inspired by Art Deco and as such incorporated elements of the movement into the café’s details — including shelf holders, the water station, and various rounded accents, permeating the space with a distinctive and clear aesthetic.
Alongside the petite patisserie, Petit by Sam is home to a small retail section and a workshop area, and features a small seating zone for those customers wanting to devour their freshly baked goods on site. Studio Ninetynine translated the brief creating a space with two distinct moods, each dictating the atmosphere and materials of their designated zones. Whilst the patisserie and retail section feature materials in light blue tones to evoke a fresh and clean ambiance, the café area encompasses warmer tones, wooden benches and panelling to cocoon customers.
With a team who have a variety of dietary restrictions from vegan and lactose-intolerant to “eats everything,” at Petite Sam, the staff are always on hand to answer any questions or concerns as well as to suggest the best cake for your needs. With granola bowls and fresh coffees on the menu alongside those sweet treats, team Sam have something for everyone.
A sweet shop with sweet interiors, Petite Sam The Hague is a handsome addition to this burgeoning Dutch chain.
