DesignAgency have completed works on a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, bar and lounge in Toronto‘s historic Westinghouse building. An upscale affair located within the newly opened Sutton Place Hotel in the city’s Entertainment District, Abrielle exudes a feminine charm that sets it apart from the typical establishments in the neighbourhood. Roused by the bon vivant spirit of its imaginary namesake, this is a vibrant spot with curated and eclectic, yet unpretentious, interiors that evoke the sense of being in the personal space of a well-travelled host.
Serving as an early-morning to late-night restaurant, bar, lounge and event space — and designed to appeal to a diverse mix of hotel guests and business, entertainment and shopping clientele — DesignAgency worked in collaboration with The Ascari Group and Northland Properties in realising the branding and interior design to ensure a seamless guest experience across the board.
Energetic and playful, good energy sets the stage at Abrielle’s. Sophisticated and elegant, guests are invited to enjoy three adjoining spaces: a lounge for casual dining, a glamorous bar with a coveted corner window view, and an intimate dining area that allows glimpses into the bustling open kitchen. Within each area, a bold palette of richly varied patterns and textures plays out across luxurious fabrics and natural materials such as stone, leather, porcelain, and wood.
Every surface is thoughtfully embellished, turning ceilings, walls, and floors into decorative moments that surprise and delight; while an eclectic collection of art introduces wit, and sculptural lighting intentionally upends conventions of scale.
