Introducing customers to the world of single-origin coffees and speciality drinks, at Guillam, pride is taken in ensuring that every cup of coffee served is of the highest quality. With four venues across London, the latest shop has opened on Curzon St in Mayfair, with designers 3Stories having crafted a multisensory framework and an experience that celebrates both the softness and science behind exceptional coffee.
Fusing artistry and innovation, their vision was to create a space that goes beyond the pleasures of a good cup of coffee, blending the concept into materials chosen and specific design details. As a result, every surface within Guillam tells a story of nuanced flavour, from stainless steel and reflective finishes to warm characteristics.
Due to size restrictions, the design approach was driven by the need to optimise the space while ensuring a seamless flow for consumers. The local neighbourhood is also celebrated in the interiors and provides customers a unique and enriching experience every time they visit a different Guillam Coffee House.
Constructed with a rammed earth effect, a feature counter is the focal point of the venue, crafted to emulate the rich, layered traces left in a cup of coffee, while coffee silos in a high gloss finish showcase Guillam’s commitment to the finest products from around the globe. These silos not only serve as functional storage but also double as striking displays, inviting customers to explore the various flavours and origins available.
Curators of single-origin specialty coffees of traceable provenance, Guillam Mayfair joins Kensington, Bayswater and Notting Hill in fusing form and function in the craft café experience.
