A-nrd Studio recently completed the design for the latest venue from rotisserie restaurant chain, Cocotte, the London-based practice embracing soft minimalism for the interiors of the Richmond outpost.
Upon entering the 62-seat restaurant, diners will be wowed by a rich palette of organic materials in warm, natural tones, as well as A-nrd’s renowned use of colour, texture and bespoke design. A large wall-to-wall bespoke sofa style booth crafted from oak, has been upholstered in Kirkby Design’s Spiral, a recycled weave in a contemporary ochre and paired with dining chairs with a textured weave from Casamance. Custom tables designed by the studio in square and rectangular form feature a creamy white terrazzo resin surface framed by oak and grounded by solid black bases.
A central bar area features terracotta-hued ceramic tiles that frame the bar and breakaway from the restaurant’s oak flooring adding a dynamic rhythm to the flow of the interior space. The sculptural bespoke bar features a chunky solid oak base crafted to showcase the beauty of the natural timber. Moving towards the rear of the restaurant, the interior takes on a more atmospheric feel and includes an open kitchen counter. Lighting is provided by a mix of architectural track lighting and spun brass pendant lights from Marset.
A great spot for relaxed and casual dining, the neighbourhood eatery is more than a restaurant, rather a community that values authenticity, quality, and sustainability. The ‘healthy chicken’ is sourced from local producers, as are the crisp, fresh vegetables that accompany the mouth-watering meats. In a nod to this concept, A-nrd have designed a gentle and relaxed environment for this new and charming South West London restaurant, whilst referencing a familiar aesthetic from previous Cocotte restaurants.
