Poznan-based bagel brand Bajgle Etc. has opened a new express branch with fresh branding, a new energy and an updated aesthetic; the Wodna Street venue bursting with design elements, colour and vibrancy.
To accentuate the bagel theme, round shapes based on the geometry of circles are a dominant feature, appearing on the floors to separate zones and to unify the difficult shape of the rooms, and are also found in the arches of the premises which serves to make space more appealing and emphasise the historic character of the building.
Designed by mode:lina, a local architectural design firm also responsible for the interiors of other slick Poznan hospitality concepts including OT.Warta and BRAĆ, Bajgle Etc. is popular with locals looking for a quick lunch in a place where functionality meets flavour, their house-made bagels served fresh and with a whole range of fillings.
The venue is home to a variety of seating areas including high tables with hockers, window seats, and a large communal bench with movable tables. The counter from which you order is unobtrusive, set back from the seating area allowing those waiting for takeout to not be disturbed by those eating in, and vice versa.
A largely colourful space, wood was introduced on the tables and in the main part of the bar to add a touch of warmth, whilst tiles from the Paradyż Neve Creative collection, designed by Maja Ganszyniec, fit perfectly into play in terms of colours and textures. Head to the bathroom for an explosion of colours, shapes and the bagel mirror which has been making the rounds on Instagram.
Fun, flavoursome and full of flair, Poznan’s Bajgle Etc. is a carefree café and bakery with serious design chops that is sure to put a smile on the faces of all who pass by.
