The second Caption by Hyatt hotel in the U.S. has opened, the brand “redefining what hospitality looks like in the modern world” choosing Nashville‘s creative Gulch District as their latest home, following on from their inauguration on Beale Street, Memphis.
Situated between downtown Nashville and the West End, just steps from Broadway Street, the 210-room hotel boasts 2,200 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, flexible areas for co-working, socialising and hosting intimate events, an all-day coffee and cocktail lounge, and a state-of-the-art fitness centre.
A hotel designed to be part of the community, at Caption by Hyatt Downtown Nashville – The Gulch, guests will find local staff, locally sourced amenities and an authentic Nashville vibe. Take Café Between, the hotel’s all-day café and cocktail lounge. This is a space that embraces modern connectivity, fostering meaningful connections between hotel guests and locals, with the surrounding community invited to enjoy the space and make it their own, embracing the programming, music, and hosted events.
The stylish guest rooms are accented with bold pops of colour and Nashville-inspired décor, thoughtfully paying homage to the rich history of the Gulch neighbourhood, a former industrial and railroad hub now transformed into a modern destination. The design celebrates this heritage with numerous railroad-inspired elements throughout the property, referencing the active train yard behind the hotel. Headboard murals are inspired by train yards while the corridor walls feature large sketch-style drawings of trains. Even the stencilled room numbers are a nod to boxcar numbering.
The Gulch itself is a modern, sleek and stylish neighbourhood; one of Nashville’s most vibrant. Home to a whole host of BBQ spots, breweries and buzzy eateries, it also boasts the ever-popular Nashville Hot Chicken spot Party Fowl, Jack White’s iconic Third Man Records, and excellent Mexican from Maiz de la Vida. It’s a cultural and culinary hub that makes Caption by Hyatt’s latest outpost feel perfectly placed.
