With a tagline “come for the Southern fare, stay for the Southern hospitality,” Dogwood Southern Table & Bar is a newly reimagined spot recently relocated to the heart of Uptown Charlotte, North Carolina, and is bigger and better than ever before.
Designed by Square Feet Studio, the space blends tradition with modern elegance to offer guests — both locals and those visiting — a true destination to experience the welcoming hospitality of the south. Inspired by North Carolina’s official flower, the Dogwood tree, the design embraces softness and femininity, reflecting the soul of a Southern garden and veranda. Nodding to the charm of dinner parties in the South, dotted light filters through tree canopies and conversations continue late into the evening.

Located within The Westin hotel, the menu is inspired by the region and crafted according to the bounty of the season, partnering with local farmers and purveyors to serve only the freshest and local products. At the heart of the space, a curved bar invites guests to gather, offering adequate seating without overwhelming the scale of the room. Anchored by two existing columns, the back bar is framed with walnut shelving, antique metal mesh detailing, and an elegant display of spirits. The mix of wood tones, walnut and white oak, adds depth, while the bar top itself boasts a striking Calacatta viola stone with deep plum-coloured veining and a handcrafted walnut edge. Custom oxblood-coloured leather barstools with brass accents provide both comfort and sophistication.
Custom furniture pieces feature throughout including crafted banquettes by Jamie Stern, and end-grain stained oak tables by Lacquercraft. White oak herringbone flooring nods to historic Southern homes while art by local creatives Marlise Newman and Caitlin Perkins further enhances the ambiance, blending seamlessly into the narrative of Southern refinement.
An elevated destination dining spot for travellers and Charlotte residents alike to enjoy contemporary Carolina cuisine, at Dogwood Southern Table & Bar your table awaits.
