A collaboration between Amsterdam’s Fotografiemuseum (my Dutch isn’t great, but I’ll have a stab at that being the photography museum) and a couple of other agencies, Unseen is hosting work from across the globe and aims to provide a platform for visitors to see the latest and greatest in contemporary photography.
Up-and-comers’ pieces will sit cheek-by-jowl with lesser-exhibited work by established artists. A total of 35 foreign galleries have been selected to provide material, on top of 15 Dutch ones, making Unseen the Netherlands’ first international photography fair. There’s also a photography fringe programme running alongside, so despite being a bit scared by the first image, we think the event, at the Westergasfabriek (I’ll pass on that one) looks like an opportunity to snap up.
Unseen Photo Fair runs from today through 23rd September.
