Located amid downtown Manhattan’s famous Wooster Street, Italian import (via Milan) Cappellini houses furniture designed by international forward thinkers. Founder Giulio Cappellini continues to introduce curated experiences into his showroom with current installation Fragments of the Apocalypse, courtesy of brilliant New York-based artist and designer Jeremyville.
Contextualised through an abstract perspective and playful palette, the drawings, paintings and prints compliment the red walls that distinguish the Italian design store, creating an ebullient dynamic throughout. Exploring variation and scale, Jeremyville introduces his newly-designed series of wooden characters: Jethro, Harmony, Sherman and Annalee, who interact with their surroundings, narrating the fanciful landscape the artist has created throughout his wall pieces.
Fragments of the Apocalypse is on view now, through 31 January.
