New Zealand artisanal coffee guru Ozone Coffee Roasters has branched out from wholesale supply into the service sector with its first London café on Leonard Street just off Shoreditch’s Silicon Roundabout. Lou Davies of Box 9 Design uncovered the property’s industrial heritage by stripping things back to exposed brick and building in rugged booth seating complemented by distressed tables. A large espresso bar wraps around the central coffee station and draws attention to where the magic happens, and there’s also a view of the beautiful drum roaster on the café’s lower floor.
