Every night is a BIRTHDAYS night in Dalston, where this indie bar and music venue operates from the lower two floors of a faceless residential block between Dalston Junction and Dalston Kingsland. The sound system’s rockin’ — so much so that the likes of VICE, Land of Kings, Bloc Party and The Cribs have hosted parties or performed sets here in the basement stage area. There’s free entry upstairs where it’s a bit more civilised, with food from Stacks Poutine and a cocktail bar for all your pre-dancing lubrication. It’s important to keep liquid levels up.
