Fresh from rolling out Young Thug and Gyptian at a surprise New York Boiler Room set, man of the moment Jamie xx has opened the doors to his Good Times Store in New York; 312 Bowery. Along with some NYC cohorts — Tim Sweeney, Mike Simonetti and Ethan Silverman — Jamie headed down to famed vinyl emporium A1 Records to pick out some choice selects, which accompany copies of his album In Colour, an assortment of archive releases, tour merch, and even tapes of past mixes.
Record label Young Turks promise some of The xx man’s ‘favourite NYC DJs’ over the next few days; so expect some surprises. Open till 16 August.
