New to London’s Central Illustration Agency is fashion illustrator Montse Bernal. With one of the industry’s more vibrant and vivacious styles her client list is more than impressive. Originally from Barcelona, Spain, her current studio is somewhere near the Italian Alps, surrounded by photographs from the turn of 20th century, old books of botany and zoology, paper ephemera, drawings of Ingres and flea market “treasures”. She loves the portrait and understands it as a way of rediscovering a person and to go beyond the surface. We love her use of colour and gentle approach to portraiture. Here’s some of our favourite pieces.
