Young Stockholm-based designer, Clara Lindsten, presented her elegantly disheveled debut furniture collection at last week’s design fair. Raw and distinctive, the hero of the collection was most definitely her “imploded chandelier”, a beautifully bedraggled crystal pendant – produced by traditional chandelier manufacturer, Krebs Stockholm. Chaotic, yet mysteriously alluring, the pendant was joined by a furniture collection that re-interpret classical shapes and utilise exotic production techniques. The result of frequent trips to Vietnam, the pieces are produced in collaboration with craftsmen in both the Southeast Asian republic, and Lindsten’s native Sweden.
