Smith’s Fancy, one of the first guest houses on St. Thomas — known in the 1940s and ’50s as a destination for those in the realms of fashion, art, music and film, before later being converted into an apartment complex — has undergone yet another transformation; today home to The Pink Palm Hotel.

Sitting on just under an acre of land, and having retained the original architecture of six buildings of varying elevations connected by outside pathways and stairs, this adults-only retreat is also home to an outdoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, multiple curated gardens, and its onsite bar and restaurant: El Barsito.
Each of the guest rooms have a unique layout with a bedroom, sitting area, thick curtains, bedside table, wardrobe, mini refrigerator and in-room coffee machines. Many offer an additional highlight in outdoor spaces that boast views over the sparkling Caribbean.
Located in the heart of downtown Saint Thomas, guests have an abundance of shopping, eating, and drinking choices all within walking distance. However for those wanting to stay as close to the hotel as possible, El Barsito serves a daily lunch and dinner (with brunch on Sundays) from an exotic space surrounded by breathtaking views and an atmosphere that will transport diners into a world of indulgence and luxury.
