Shenzhen-based studio 31 Design have completed works on the lyf Hotel, a contemporary abode located in the city of Xi’an, China, which contains the warmth of the native land whilst also showing the novelty of a foreign land.
Blending modern elements with ancient traditions, the hotel is located in the city’s core business district and breaks through the boundaries of conventional hotels with a curated space aimed at the higher age range of Gen Z, Millennials, and those with an interest in what they cite as “a trendy design vocabulary, a eclectic and complex space and no end of fun.”
Surrounded by various tourist attractions and scenic spots — namely Tang Paradise, Dayan Pagoda and Qujiang Pond — the district offers visitors the perfect combination of traditional art meeting modernity, making lyf Dayanta Xi’an an ideal hotel for both leisure-led and business travellers.
Accommodations range from studios to four-bedroom apartments and shared spaces, all inspired by traditional architectural designs and featuring artworks that nod to China’s chic and vibrant lifestyle. Weekly events enable guests to experience the Xi’an ‘local life,’ as does the friendly hospitality found throughout.
